If the article contains enough of these examples, the reader can easily begin to see why this style of essay writing works so well.When you want to write a research paper, you may decide to write about the lives of many people in order to prove a point. However, if your student cannot begin to understand how each stereotype fits in to the overall life of one person, then they will have a hard time understanding where you are trying to get across. Therefore, if you wish to make an argument, it is important to include at least one example that the reader can relate to.The research scientist who uses statistics to discover new ways to predict trends in diseases could be considered one of the most stereotyped people. They may have a great personality, but they do not always portray themselves as being easy going or fun. That is not to say that scientists are no t fun at all, but they must still take care of themselves and get into their work. These stereotypes help the reader visualize that when these people are in the office, they are full of ideas and passion.The stereotype of the serious writer is also widely known. Often the stereotype is presented as someone who is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but rather they have no passion in what they do. The more stereotyped the writer, the easier it is for the reader to relate.Another stereotype that is often associated with the stereotype of the 'lazy' person is the stereotype of someone who is lazy when it comes to cooking. While many may think that the stereotype of the 'lazy cook' is complete nonsense, there is some truth to it. This stereotype is often used to show the reader that the writer is incapable of performing tasks that require concentration and organization.If you cannot relate to any of these stereotypes, the hard part is done. The next step is to identify the common theme a mong them. For example, if your stereotype of the 'lazy' person is someone who does not have any of the above traits, then you would need to write about the writer who has a job at Starbucks because he has a family and a mortgage.It is up to you as the writer to identify what the main focus of the research paper is and then try to find similarities between the person's behavior and that of the stereotype. You may want to find examples of the stereotypes you just wrote about in a recent newspaper article, and then look for examples of the writer's behavior from a discussion forum, on television, or even in a magazine article.Even if your college student can not identify the same pattern, at least they will be able to understand where the writer is trying to communicate with their article. Try to stick to one stereotype at a time, until you are confident that your students can see why this type of essay writing is so effective.
